St Cecilia Program 2020

It is with regret that we advise that the St Cecilia Youth Music Scholarship program will not be offered in 2020.

This decision is based on the uncertainty surrounding the COVID 19 pandemic and its potential to disrupt the conduct of our auditions and concert.

We trust that the program will resume in 2021!

2019 Finalists Concert

Twelve talented young musicians will share prize-money totalling $5,700 as they are presented with their St Cecilia Youth Music Scholarships at a concert on up-coming Sunday.

Auditions were held with an independent adjudicator who had the difficult task of choosing the most exceptional ― from the 26 hopeful 8 to 18-year-old performers ― to perform in the concert.

The 12 music students who were chosen will perform at the finals concert which is open to the public. The concert will be held at St Bernard’s Church Batehaven on Sunday 24 November at 3.30 pm.

At the concert, performers will be awarded with scholarships ranging from $100 to $1,000 which will go towards furthering their studies.

Come to the concert and enjoy the musical talents of the young in our region ― from classical and contemporary to instrumental and vocal.

Tickets available at the door. Adults $10, under 18 free.
